The RC Players

Who Are We?

Our Upcoming Shows

Stream of Unconsciousness

Stream of Unconsciousness directed by Cammie Golba is a collection of extremely short plays performed on a time limit and in a random order chosen by the audience. Inspired by the Neo-Futurists, our ensemble will portray all facets of the human experience in the blink of an eye. Topics range from a horse walking into a bar to family dissonance, with themes ranging from tomfoolery to existentialism and the meaninglessness of life. Catch it for free November 8th and 9th at 8pm in the Keene Theater.

Box of Ghosts

Box of Ghosts is a story about a group of people who find themselves trapped in an antique shop after releasing the embodiments of their greatest fears. The play engages with multiple integral human struggles, from regret to acceptance, grief, and mental health via a series of conversations that allows the characters to confront their inner demons and, through the assistance of their peers, learn to understand and overcome the challenges in their lives. This show allows us to take the jar off the shelf we pack away all our feelings into, open up to them in the light of day, and realize that no matter our age or circumstance, we are all learning to grow together. See it on November 22nd and 23rd at 8pm in the Keene Theater!

Content warnings/discussion of: struggles with mental health, grief, ostracization and estrangement, queerphobia, family conflicts and divorce, suicidal ideation, and existentialism.

EVENING OF SCENES

Evening of Scenes is a series of short 10-15 minute comedy scenes written and directed by students! From homoerotic cowboy duels to secret stallion siblings, Evening of Scenes is guaranteed to make you laugh at the creativity of our student writers.

RED EYE

Like every college student, the RC Players are no strangers to all-nighters. Red Eye is a comedy special where students stay up for 24 hours in order to put on a show. Between Friday and Saturday night, the students must write, produce, and perform two one-act comedy sketches.

ROCKY HORROR

Every October, in the true spirit of Halloween, the RC Players put on a shadow cast of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show. As the movie plays in the background, students dance along on stage to the Time Warp and audience members shout their favorite innuendos.
